But these scientists used ultraviolet (UV) light.
This makes the process quick.
The students worked in a laboratory.
First, they developed the vegetable cells.
The cells are the printer's 'ink'.
They put the ink into the printer.
Then, the machine builds the cells into a carrot.
These carrots are cheap too.
They cost less than normal carrots.
Qatar is a desert.
Without rain, the country has to buy fresh food.
Printing food might help.
And, for poor countries, it could be the answer.
