A man can now see. Before he couldn't see anything. He was blind. The man comes from France. Doctors there gave him special treatment.
The doctors used plant proteins. Proteins help the body to work. The plant proteins work in the eye. They change in light. They help send messages to the brain.
The man had an eye illness. It started 40 years ago. He couldn't see anything for 20 years. Doctors in Paris helped him. The treatment was slow. It takes time to work.
One day, the man went for a walk. He started to see white things. He saw white lines on the road.
Now the treatment is working. The man can see things on a table. He can touch and count them.
The man cannot see everything. He can only see some things. But it is a great change. It can change his life and other blind people's lives too.
