Wine thieves - 8th May 2023
A couple in Spain stole from a hotel. Priscila Lara Guevara and Constantín Dumitru stole 45 bottles of wine. These were expensive wines. One of the bottles is 217 years old. It costs 350 thousand euros.
They planned the robbery carefully. They studied the hotel and the restaurant. They visited there many times. This time, Priscila used a fake passport. They had dinner at the restaurant. They toured the wine cellar. At 2am the woman called room service. Then, the man stole the key from the front desk. They put the wines in their bags. They ran away before sunrise.
After nine months, the police caught the couple. They have to go to prison. They'll spend four and a half years there. The couple have to pay 750 thousand euros too.
