Captain Tom Moore wanted to help doctors in the UK. The 99 year old man walked in his garden 100 times.

Captain Moore: "I'm Captain Moore. I'm walking for the NHS."

He asked people to give him money. Captain Tom’s children gave him £1 every time. Then, other people heard about his walk. Lots of people gave him money.

It was his birthday on 30th April. He was 100 years old. He made £30 million for doctors.

To say thank you, the British Army made him a Colonel. Captain Tom got 125,000 birthday cards. They need a lot of space. People put the cards in a local school.

The Queen of England sent a card too. Tom likes this card a lot.
