99 year old Captain Tom Moore decided to walk around his garden 100 times.

Captain Moore: "I'm Captain Moore. I'm walking for the NHS."

The retired soldier wanted to collect money for the National Health Service.

His children gave him £100 each. Then the public started giving Tom money for his walk.

On 30th April, it was his 100th birthday. He'd collected over £30 million. In celebration, the army made Tom a colonel.

The public also gave him 125,000 birthday cards. He didn't have space for so many cards. They put them all up in a local school.

One special card made Captain Tom very happy. It was a personal birthday message from the Queen of England.
