Covid-cancelled weddings head to Gibraltar

This couple is getting married. Covid stopped lots of weddings this year. But Covid rules may be a problem for international couples. They need to get married. Couples can get married in Gibraltar in the Mediterranean.

Flora Lam plans weddings.

Lam: "They just desperate to be with each other because if they not married, they can't be, you know, travelling to each other's country to, to meet up."

Bruno Miani is from Brazil. His girlfriend lives in Dublin. Lockdown stopped their Irish wedding. But Gibraltar has famous weddings.

Miani: "John Lennon got married with Yoko Ono here. And it was like, for us, it was like – for me especially because I’m a big, big Beatles fan – and I decided, OK this is going to be, yeah, a nice place for us to be."

Sarah Ann is from England.

Sarah Ann: "Well, both myself and my partner, we're from England and Ireland, so we didn't want to choose either of them countries."
